How Tracking Works

Understanding how SweetRep tracks sales helps you maximize your earnings.

Discount code attribution

The primary way sales are attributed to you is through your unique discount code. Here's the flow:
  1. You share your discount code with your audience.
  2. A customer enters the code at checkout on the brand's Shopify store.
  3. The order is recorded with your discount code.
  4. SweetRep syncs the order and credits the sale to your account.
  5. A commission is calculated based on your campaign's commission rate.

Your discount code

When you're approved and assigned to a campaign, you automatically receive a unique discount code. You can find it on your Home dashboard.
The code gives your audience a discount (e.g., 10% off) while earning you a commission on each sale (e.g., 15% of the order value).

What counts as a tracked sale

A sale is attributed to you when:
  • The customer used your specific discount code at checkout.
  • The order was placed on the brand's connected Shopify store.
  • The order was not cancelled or fully refunded within the settlement period.

What doesn't count

  • Orders placed without a discount code (even if the customer found the brand through your content).
  • Orders using someone else's discount code.
  • Refunded or cancelled orders (commissions are voided).
